This policy explains every cookie and similar storage this site uses, what each one is for, and how to refuse or change your mind. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally.

Your sign-in session. Set by us and by Supabase, our authentication provider. Without it you cannot stay signed in, and the reader and Trust Measured OS cannot work. It is not used to profile you and is not shared with anyone.

Stripe may set what it needs to process a payment and to detect fraud when you are on the checkout page. That is part of taking the payment you asked us to take.

These are strictly necessary: without them you could not sign in or pay.

Google Analytics (GA4). Cookies in the _ga family, used to recognise a returning browser so that two visits are not counted as two people. They tell us which pages people arrive on, roughly where in the world they are, which device they use, and which pages lead to a purchase.

Nothing you write in the book or in Trust Measured OS reaches it. The free score calculators do not report to it at all.

The Meta pixel. Cookies in the _fbp family, used to measure whether advertising on Facebook and Instagram leads to purchases here.

This is the one to think about. Meta can connect what the pixel records here with a Facebook or Instagram account, and with activity on other sites carrying the same pixel.

Microsoft Clarity. Cookies in the _clck and _clsk families, used to tie a session together so that a page can be seen the way a visitor met it — where they scrolled, what they clicked, where they hesitated.

Clarity masks text content by default, so a replay shows the shape of a session rather than the words on the screen.

Refusing it changes nothing about how this site works for you.

These three load when a page loads. There is no on-site preference control yet — one is being prepared alongside a full legal review, and this policy will be updated when it arrives rather than before.

In the meantime any browser content blocker stops all three, and this site works normally without them. Google publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, Meta’s advertising preferences sit in your Facebook or Instagram account settings under Ads, and Microsoft publishes a Clarity opt-out at clarity.microsoft.com/terms.
